More powerful but also nearly 2lbs heavier, hd instead of fhd webcam, and no touchscreen/2-in-1 which are unique features for a gaming laptop. The dell is more powerful but this is definitely more versatile especially if you plan on moving it around.
The 2024 G14 has 3K OLED .3ms 120hz display, newer AMD CPU, 90 watt 4060 (x16 120 boost watts), 16GB soldered ram and 1 2280? M2 slot. Around 10hr battery life surfing. So slightly worse at gaming, better CPU, better battery life, better (but smaller) display, smaller, lighter and no touch 2 in 1. If you're good with the physical screen size, soldered ram, 1 M2 and no touch 2 in 1 - this will be a better all around performer against the x16.
2023 X16 has 2 open ram slots, 2 2280 M2 slots, last gen Intel CPU (5-8hr battery life), and a 1600p IPS 3ms 240hz display. So - possibly better at gaming, worse screen, bigger (& heavier), more expandability +good all around performance and touch 2 in 1.
If you don't need 2 in 1 touch you can easily find better performance for the same price. If you want a gaming 2 in 1, the Asus flow series is the only real option.

I've done a ton of research on the flow series. With the 2023 4060 x16 I expected to be disappointed by the lack of MLED display and no AMD processor. Was concerned about heat, battery life, 2 in 1 16 inch form factor, weight, useability. Thought there was a good chance I would be swapping it out.
I'm so glad I tried it. The 240hz IPS nebula screen is -incredible- zero disappointment there. it blows my 2021 G15 144hz display completely out of the water, G15 looks washed out in comparison. Feels twice as bright (too bright, I'd never get past the 500nits on the MLED), much better contrast, excellent color accuracy and speed.
The form factor is great, don't think I'd want a smaller display. It's comfortable in either mode on your lap or stand. Even sideways for reading material works well. The unit is denser and weighs less than my older G15. It's also smaller in most dimensions.
The i9 13900h seems to be running colder than my old ryzen 9 5900hx with better performance and incredibly close low end power use with ghelper at around 10 watts web surfing w/ saving settings. Works out to around 7-8 hrs of life. Could get better life by disabling cores. Just fine for a 16 inch 2 in 1. The 4060 is a great performer, just ran a few helldiver 2 rounds with ultra settings at about 55FPS with an avg 45 low. Higher frames with lower settings, only saw major fps drops when downloading updates at 300MBs through steam in the background
Downsides? A bit of heat in tablet mode, vents are facing you. And the touchpad has a slight pre tap click (completely easy fix with spacer under the touchpad).
I'll be running it through some stress tests and additional games tomorrow.
How this machine gets 13 upvotes w/ a 500$ discount and only 4 stars on best buy makes 0 sense to me. It's really hard to beat $2$ for an expandable working size 2 in 1. Completely under-rated machine. Total sleeper.

Haha, the issue is I need a laptop to replace my current x1c, and I wonder if this form factor makes sense for programming.
Now they are denying warranty claims on products that have any visible marks. They're charging ridiculous repair rates (on products under warranty) and claiming all kinds of additional faults, then giving the customer 3 days to respond with threat of receiving a dissembled non-functioning device...
