I have a few of these not a SDS but the hex shank keeps it tight in the chuck.

Guess you never used an old dewalt bit case before; those were garbage and didn't ever pivot even on long stem and they used solid yellow dye so you never knew what box you had so labeling was a must

At least this is clear on one side and the latch is slightly easier to slide
