Can any outdoorsmen confirm if this is a good deal? Just got into knots and need some paracord to practice.

This is NOT a good deal. You can get a 1000 foot spool for this price.

When I first got into knot tying, I went down to Home Depot and had them cut me a couple feet of several different ropes of varying thickness. Great to practice on different ropes.

LOL. 1/2 as strong and 6x the cost for 10x the length. Not quite "This is NOT a good deal. You can get a 1000 foot spool for this price."

Walmart recently had 50ft for $3.59 so the price is not necessarily the best, but this is a good cord and is 100% nylon (even melt when you burn the ends).

You can get it at harbor freight at any time for the same price or less. Not sure about durability, but it gets good reviews. Multiple sizes also.

When I search harbor freight for paracord, I get two hits, both for 1/8" x 50 ft. Lowest is $2.99. Working load of 160 pounds. Not nearly as strong and only half the length.

I always have doubts about rope manufacturers who don't quote tensile strength, even on their websites. some "550 paracord" at walmart is labeled as having a 100# load rating.

sure - load rating/tensile/dynamic loading are apples/oranges but even crappy home depot rope by the foot has SOME rating to begin comparisons

Good cord at a good price. I like Atwood Rope Manufacturing (ARM) as well. Made in USA. Good variety and they almost always have cosmetically discounted material at steep discounts. https://atwoodrope.com/
