Components most changed/upgraded are RAM, SSD and GPU. All of them can be upgraded in this Dell. Comes with a 4090 and a 1000W PS. Why change power supply? 5600 DDR5 is bad? Just looking at a $2800 Lenovo Tower 7i with same CPU and they use DDR5 5200. Your unsureness on the cooling doesn't instill confidence you know what you're talking about.

This is a tired conversation. You want to build from scratch, feel free. You think there is better pre-builts, then LINK THEM to them if you truly want to help people.

Take a look at this Reddit. Seems people who want 64GB have luck with the Crucial Pro 64GB Kit (2x32GB) DDR5-5600 UDIMM. It looks like it will run at 5200mhz

exact same thing happened to me. It will auto-charge again (attempt) at the 4-hour mark. I had this exact same thing happen two weeks ago on the R15 deal posted here. After I told my credit card the charge was not fraudulent a few minutes after they denied it, the second attempt 4 hours later from Dell went through no problem.

Dumb how they have now pre configured systems where you can only change like Windows Edition etc.. Me think they added this configuration the other day (where it made front page) with the wrong full retail retail price of $2799 (same config but with i9-14900KF and 2TB SSD retail $3699)

man... i ordered and got confirmation. but i have some problem with the credit card i entered. i called them to switch to another credit card. they said they submitted a request for another department to send me a link to re-enter the credit card.
But I just got an email about my order got cancelled

I pulled the trigger on this last night after contemplating it for way too long: got 6.5% CB, 10% coupon etc. card was declined but it was supposed to try again today.

Saw this today at $400 cheaper and 10.5% cash back, and called to cancel my order. Went to put it in my cart and it was no longer working as of that moment.

All in all I estimate my savings to be $2700 and just for a few hours of work which is pretty slick.

Correct, unfortunately, only 2 slots on this MB. I would pull the 32 (2x16) that comes with it and either hold it until return period is over or just sell them on Ebay if you are keeping the system.

I was able to configure a system with the exact same specs...and yeah retail is now $3499 so it's now in line with their prices on those other R16 configs with RTX 4090.
