You cant switch payment method after the other is placed, you/they can only do cancel and rebuy.

CB for Dell will always hit within hours of order placed. Of course it will stay pending for like 2-3 months in case order get cancelled/returned etc.

Oh damn good catch. So you'd lose on roughly $180 since you won't get the full extra 10% CB. Goes from roughly $575 (25%) CB to $395 (15% + $50 cap)

I looked after and dell was excluded from the 10% bonus cash, so it was not that. $540 cashback pending as we speak, no cancellation email, so looking good... Also will end up with 2% credit card cashback and quite a bit of dell rewards. This deal ended up super slick. I am paying less at the end than an MSRP 4090 lol.

edit: the $540 disappeared and after an inquiry reappeared as the 15%+$50. Dang. Still super slick though and I can't complain.

On the other deal, it was showing me ~260K MR points, and in a couple of days it went to zero (Dell did not provide cashback). Still fighting them over it (at least the fair amount of 26K).

So we have a total of 2 cancellation reports in this thread. One person said their card was declined and they contacted CS who told them they'd get sent to another department who could send them a form to enter a new card, but instead the order was canceled. Another user said they placed an order, but received a cancellation with an out of stock message.

Has anyone that received an actual order *confirmation* had their order subsequently canceled? If not, I think we are in the clear.

my order was declined at first, called my bank they said there was no issue, then i called dell they just cancelled the order
