maybe try this, after you make sure the disk is installed correctly

Go to System Settings > Storage > Advanced Storage > Disks & Volumes. The SSD may show up there. Click Initialize. Now it will show up in Disk Manager.
I didnt know you have to buy certain compatible ssd to work damn

i think something to do with bios. it's not working either one.
Do u see the drive in bios? If u don't see it there then it's not installed right or it's DOA drive.

I don't see it in the bios. The ssd works fine in my old b450 mother board.

Noob question: if upgrading to a 2TB drive, do you folks recommend (a) cloning the existing 1TB drive, or (b) do a clean install? if (a), what's the best cloning software? it's been a while for me and last time I used Acronis which is no longer free. if the latter (b), do I just run a window recovery and select the new 2TB drive?

No I just ordered one. Sounds like a lot of people either don't have CB showing, or it showed and then our accounts got deactivated… this is kinda shady
Yeah I turned off addons, navigated properly. I see the Date/Time, Store and Shopping Trip entry but there's nothing under "Order Placed"

Citi thought there was fraud so I received an email immediately from Dell titled "Action required: there's an issue with your payment" and it indicated they would try again in 24 hours which they did and it went through just fine the next day.

I sent a help request letting them know which Shopping Trip ID resulted in which Order number and got a canned response that said "We're waiting for Dell Technologies to report your purchase with us before we add Cash Back to your account."

Guess we'll see what happens but I'm betting the CB won't happen. Hoping!!!!!

I purchased the system right as it became unavailable. I have not received any cash back email, but I submitted a request for missing points at the CB site.

My Dell order has stayed in Processing with expected delivery May 21. Today the order was updated with a new expected delivery date May 13.
same! do you happen to see a tracking number?

They just updated mine to Shipped. I haven't gotten the email yet but I see the FedEx tracking number in my order details now. Estimated delivery May 13 to Las Vegas.

For the ones who are locked out, did you order more than one system? Because if yes they might have flagged you as a reseller and cancel your account ask me how I know lol...(not with them but another site...they pretty much all have the same terms and conditions..).
I ordered just one system. First and only purchase. I had access to the cash back site long enough for me to see how much cb I had in my account ($374), but whenever I try to do anything — shop, looks at my balance, etc — I'm asked to log in, and when I do, it says the account is not accessible.

Make sure it actually has the 4090, not the 4080. The link still seems to be up, but no longer with the 4090 GPU.

Dell nerfed the deal to a 4080 Super instead of the original 4090 deal.

well...now you have time to get an SSD and ram? Smilie Which SSD are you going with? I picked up the 4tb Samsung 990pro with heatink from samsung yesterday. It arrives tomorrow....11 days before the machine, lol.
Is it this one for $319?

I think I'd bite if I can get cash back reactivated. Another $32 in CB would be nice.

And they dropped the cash back amount for Dell to 5%. I think they are planning to cheat us.
Actually it is tiered - desktops only getting 2% now.
I wonder if the 15% initially launched was meant to apply to only select categories (like server or accessories)?
