Isn't that pretty much every brand? I have yet to see a brand that someone doesn't complain about. Dell, Lenovo, asus, hp, etc. Literally every single brand. I follow these laptop posts religiously.
Thanks OP. Btw it's also touchscreen!
I used the old SD moto...Buy now and think later. Since it's not even in stock yet, I will have time to do my research. Great price if it ships.

I have been following these laptop posts for months. I can't believe the one I pull the trigger on is not posted by Dr. Wajahat.
Got this over a month ago. Very nice laptop. Antiglare ads a bit of that fuzz, but colors are incredibly accurate. Works really well. Charges fast and holds a charge a long time. Very nice laptop.

Shame it's only a 14-inch display.
14 inch for a college kid is fantastic. Anything larger than that is just not practical lagging around from class to class and around campus.

For do it yourselfers interested in upgrading the hard drive in this (my research led to conflicting answers about whether or not there's one or two m2 slots in this ) , this amazon review may be of interest.... I've never bothered to disconnect the battery before during my previous acer laptop upgrades but reading this I'm beginning to wonder if I've been living dangerously and I should have been doing that all along

3.0 out of 5 stars Excellent computer but I couldn't get spare parts from tech support
Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2024
CPU: i7-1355UCapacity: 14" FHD touchVerified Purchase
I got the computer and I really enjoyed it.
But, I tried to expand it with another SSD and apparently a short circuit occurred during the process (I didn't disconnect the battery in the process). After that, the computer emitted smoke and a white cable burned inside.
I tried to contact the product support. Unanswered.
I tried to talk to Amazon's chat and they advised me to return the product, but they did not promise that I would receive a refund, which means that I might have to pay Rick a fine of 15% of the product's price. It gave me an unprofessional impression that they don't understand what I want.
I was actually left with a broken computer at home two weeks after I got it.
On the computer I would give 5 stars. on the service less than one.
I would advise you to buy a computer with a normal warranty in your country and not get involved in orders from another country that will leave you without an answer and support for your problems. Too bad."

On the one hand this link says there's only one m2 slot

https://laptopmedia.com/highlight...e-options/

(note in the video in the weblink above it discusses how to remove the battery)

but if you look at the comments in the video and this amazon review apparently there's a slot for a 2nd m2 drive?

Solid Laptop with a Secret
By Peter in the United States on August 14, 2023
I'm going to college soon and I needed a laptop, so I settled on this one after looking at a bunch of reviews. So far, it's proven itself to be pretty powerful with a high end CPU, and I also find the backlit keyboard to be a big help when it's dark.
I can't comment on battery life since I haven't used it that much, but after calibrating the battery it usually estimates itself at 9+ hours at max charge, though I have it on a lower performance setting. Will come back to update after I toil in academia.
Anyways, you've probably already seen the pictures connected to this review so the secret is out, but apparently this laptop has a secret 2nd M.2 Slot hidden next to the fans. Just disconnect the ribbon cable and peel the black tape away, and there it is. Perfectly functional too. I installed a 1TB Crucial P3 Plus with a thermal pad so the ribbon cable doesn't heat up, and after a restart I managed to initialize the new SSD and now have another TB of space in this thing."

The Hinge on my two-and-a-half-year-old HP Envy is starting to go. It amazes me how that always seems to happen to me. I am not rough at all on my laptops. Not worth it to fix it. Thanks for the post OP.

I would have picked this up instead of the microcenter $300 Asus one even if I don't trust Acer's built quality. The CPU seems to have a lower TDP thus probably has more battery life in it. I should remove my deal alert so I don't get upset Smilie

14" is my absolute favorite size. FHD at this is perfect, not too small to require scaling. Every laptop I've bought in the past 10 years has this size. Used to buy 15" before. Also used to buy a 13" once and it was just too small for me. Everyone has their own preference.

Agree, my current laptop is a 13". I will never buy a 15" laptop again.
