Negative, I've bought and picked up like 10+ Pixel phones at google stores with trade-in the past few years and they've always sent me a seperate box that I need to ship out for the trade-in.

If you happen to live near a physical Google Store, you can do the trade-in instantly in person so no delays or risks. NYC, Boston, and Mountain View.

https://store.google.com/magazine...s?hl=en-US

Edit: I've personally traded in several devices (phones and watch) in Mountain View. In all instances they physically took the device and gave me credit instantly. I can't personally vouch for the other stores.

Just a heads-up, it looks like it's 4 per type per account. Meaning you can max out on one account with 4x128gb, 4x 256gb, 4x128gb with dock, and 4x256gb with dock. If you wanted 8 pixel tablet 128gb then you will have to use two accounts. Time to use my other accounts.

The dock is the only competitive advantage. Otherwise its just an overpriced mid ass tablet
That is my thinking as well.
I actually started to look to buy a BT speaker and perhaps a phone dock instead of this tablet. Its usually easier to use your own iPhone with all the texts, social media apps is there. No need to install and login to different spotify-youtube etc account with an Android tablet.

That's why I chose not to go through with this. Say someone who receives the trade-in device cracks the screen and writes it off as a $50 iPad 7th Gen instead of $399. Even if you choose to get it back instead, you still have to pay $500+ for the Pixel tablet.

pulled from a reddit thread on tradein questions. assuming it's similar terms for here but oddly can't find terms on Google itself...

Does the device power on? Does the Power Button function correctly? Are all Activation Locks disabled? (Find My iPhone, Google Lock, and Samsung Lock) Is the screen without cracks, breaks and missing pieces? Does the touchscreen work on the entire surface of the phone? Is the screen without any bruising and missing pixels? Is the LCD LED Backlight working correctly (the screen is not dark)? Is the device otherwise without breaks or cracks in the housing, keypad, hinge, or battery door? Does the device have a swollen battery?

Devices will fail LCD inspection if they have any of the following Cracked Screen Damaged Screen Burn-in Bruising (may appear as dead pixels or spots of discoloration) Pixelation Delamination Unresponsive Screen

Devices will fail housing inspection of they have any of the following Major Case Crack Minor Case Crack Major Scratch Camera Broken Button/Key Broken Power Button Broken Battery Missing Battery Door Broken Case Bent

It's a typo. The 1st gen was 9.7" and the 2nd Gen was 10.5" and they list both as 11".
Is that really a typo? I have a 1st gen iPad Pro 9.7" from Costco on its last legs and want to give this a try, but this is how iPad Pro models were named:

Small iPad Pro: iPad Pro 9.7", 10.5", 11" (1st), 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and just yesterday 5th gen.
Large iPad Pro: iPad Pro 12.9" (1st), 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and just yesterday 7th gen.

If you look at what are the available trade-in options, the small iPad Pro only goes up to 3rd gen, 4th gen has no size in the description, while the large iPad Pro goes up to 6th gen. It sounds like if we are judging from this, the small sizes for the 1st and 2nd gen iPad Pros are excluded, but it makes no sense as they're identical except in size to the big iPad Pros that are as old.

Would you chance it and try the trade in given they might deny you and you only have 14 days to return? In reality, no one who has a well-functioning iPad of any gen should be trading it in for any sort of lagdroid tablet which are categorically junk and worthless as soon as you buy it, even one as gussied up as Google has done here. Clearly lots of us are trading in old, damaged, or soon-to-be junk here, and that's exactly what lagdroid tablets are worth

Don't check the box. If you don't uncheck your $399 trade in might be valued at far less than what you expected and there's nothing you can do about it.

Pulled from a reddit thread. All I can find giving trade-in details. Oddly can't find on Google itself. Unsure if it's still accurate but I'm gonna pass just in case.

Given I had a dead spot/row, I'm not chancing this given their return window and trade-in windows.

Uncheck. Who's not to say they will lie about the condition of your trade-in device to give you less $. At least if you uncheck, they will send you back your traded-in device.
