Reviews are not good.... I am researching now.

It looks like this model fails a LOT. Huge numbers of complaints about blankets failing in 90 days or less. Both Amazon and Walmart reviews all complain about the same thing.

Darn. It looks nice, but the number of bad reviews is higher than usual for a heated blanket. Still, it's cheap.

As Zeo notes, the WiFi is a risk: The app and pad will probably require direct internet access, probably no LAN/direct control. The app will probably collect usage information. There's no telling when Sunbeam will decide to abandon the servers and app, leaving you with a non-WiFi blanket.

Wifi connected, so your blanket will be part of a botnet in no time.

Nice concept, bad execution. "F2" errors galore.

All good jokes aside, this is a steal. I've had my eye on this for a while. Yes, you could absolutely live without a Wi-Fi heated blanket, but it is kind of a luxury to turn your heated blanket on ahead of time from downstairs on a freezing winter day.

I just replaced this blanket, just the king size version. It failed on us in just over a year of daily use. The previous dual nob style heating blanket is still working and in our son's room after 5 years.

WiFi works extremely well with Alexa and scheduling, so we always got into a warm bed in the evening. That said, I wouldn't trust the quality for very long if you get it. I would get the protection plan (if any). At the price of taking a date to Mc D's, it's worth a roll if you find it at this price. If you don't use it a lot, maybe you get a year of good use.
