even though it is a 3 year old model, it still offers features like Dirac Live (Standard) that brands like Yamaha / Sony do not even offer or brands like Denon / Marantz charge a hefty premium for.

Oh its been on my short list for a year since best buy has them open box/demo for $500 for the last year. Never could score one though.

For those that don't know Dirac Live does not include their bass management, it relies on the receivers bass management.

A renowned AV Professional(AA) who worked directly with Dirac made a video with best/key tips & tricks for using DL.

It's very helpful walking you through how to use Dirac Live properly for any Dirac Live capable receiver.

Great receiver. Dirac was a game changer, using a dsp mic and adding Harmon curve the sound is unbelievable during dtsx or atmos movie tracks. The sound is powerful, accurate, separated, and just beautifully balanced , full of color. This is a steal for this level receiver.

I snagged one for $530, but BB packed it so incredibly poor that it arrived DOA with visible damage. I partly blame the moron that returned it in the original box but without the foam packing. Why throw that away when you could have just left it inside the box? Anyhow I have the Integra DRX 3.4 now.
