FYI. It's just $35 cheaper than retail apple prices, real savings is not really a lot.

Not as much as it appears. The OP listed the list price of the 256GB as $599 and that is NOT CORRECT. Apple just lowered the list price to $499. So this is a $50 savings. Same with the 64GB -- they are now $349 list price so only $35 savings.

OP: change the list price that is crossed out...it's wrong.

I think they would be 300, because the 9th gen was 300$ MSRP, and got discounted to 250$. The new one is 350$ MSRP so I would guess 300$is the max discount

This is a decent deal. Apple announced a lower price for 10th gen model, while discontinuing the 9th gen.

It is being officially discontinued. 9th to 10th gen had some actual notable upgrades. USB-C port, A14, improved 12 mp camera on the back, updated all-aluminum body. Landscape mounted front cam. Slightly thinner screen bezels. Touch ID fingerprint scanner button moved to the body. WiFi 6 chip.

I said recently. Best Buy had a sale in Mid-April to clear inventory. I also see someone posted on SD on 4/29 with that price.

Oh, you're right. I did see that but hesitated and missed the "daily deal" on 4/29.

Still paid $85 less than that price for the older, slower model with same amount of storage. Works for some, not for others. shake head

Major fail with new iPads after 9th Gen is that they forgot to include the 3.5mm audio jack!

Best excuse is well "all tech is going to Bluetooth audio". But it doesn't have to, there's no technical reason that we legally have to get rid of 3.5mm jacks. In fact most customers hate Bluetooth audio.
