This is a pretty good deal on a physical copy of Dead Space. I played it on the Series X and really enjoyed it. It was probably my favorite horror game I've ever played despite not actually being able to finish it. Midway through the game, I started having glitches in which enemies were falling into the floor and loot would just drop entirely through it which meant I couldn't retrieve anything. I fought it for probably 3-5 chapters before it got to the point that there just was no way to advance. I probably got through 80-90% of the game but never did get to finish though I absolutely intend to return for another go.

I got the digital deluxe edition on sale for like 10 bucks I think since I have game pass, plus it's available on game pass currently I believe. So unless you have to have physical it might be worth waiting for another digital sale. I've played very little so far but the game is gorgeous and the atmosphere is intense to say the least.

I've also come across a couple glitches where I could not advance due to a cut scene or enemy swarm not loading. A re-start of the game has fixed it each time. It's a little annoying in that I now have to question if there is a glitch if I find myself unable to do something. Luckily the game pretty much directs you where to go so chances are it will be a glitch if you truly are stuck.

I wish a reload or restart would have fixed my issues. I even went as far as uninstalling the game and reinstalling hoping that would somehow make it better but it never helped a bit. It's been a bit but so I can't remember how the game saves worked but looking back on it, that would be the only option (short of a new playthrough) I can come up with that may have negated the glitches I was running into. It was the worst glitching situation I've ever ran into in a game. All that considered, the fact that I intend to return and still speak well of the game should really say something to people out there on the fence.

I know. You're 100% right.

The worst part is that I regret returning my Series X that I got for $300 cuz I realized I was being too cheap and too comfortable with my One S with disc drive. Spent $300 somewhere else unnecessarily. I clearly am missing out Frown

It's almost 4 years into the current generation of consoles, so new games aren't being released on old gen. Unless you don't care about new games, best to get current gen console.

That and the store will occasionally have it on sale for cheap. I bought it digitally for under $10...wanting to say it was $6.99 but I think that it was also a targeted deal. Could be wrong on that...the majority of my gaming time is on the PS5 but it seemed like a targeted deal to me.

This game genuinely disturbs me in the best possible way. I get flashbacks of Resident Evil and Silent Hill. If you are a fan of the genre or just want a good scare, I highly recommend it.

Just One Gun is my favorite trophy!
