I believe Jack updated their app so that purchases must be exactly $1 & up now. It appears the 2 tacos for $0.99 promo does not qualify for & activate the $1 minimum anymore. Before the app update, adding $0.99 would activate the free promos.

Did you try different locations? I can go to one Mc D an get an old grease McMuffin an then order a double stacker at another location that seems to be freshly made an not so bad. Iirc my tacos an stuff weren't exactly grease free from assorted jacks in 2020 tho
If you somehow have Sonic in abundance to any other fast food chain, your opinion is automatically invalid.
Sonic has some decent trashy food, but you're also paying for their outdated gimmick with every order.
As far as grease goes, you might just want to avoid flavor all together.
