This is my go to repair kit as a desktop technician. It has pretty much everything you'd ever need for phones tablets and computers. The quality is great. Sure there are other cheapo brands. Three things I like about it (I have a kit at home and at work) are the grounding armband, the magnetic section of the case, and that you can pull out the box of driver bits separately -and the lid has a bunch of sectioned squares with a raised edge to place screws you remove and keep the ordered for reinstallation.
The different tweezers are also extremely good quality (especially compared to cheaper sets)
This may not be the cheapest set, but if you are looking for one toolkit for repairing electronics this is it.

Bought this for $39 in 2018 from Fry's Electronics. RIP. Awesome toolkit. I've opened up all types of electronic devices such as phones and Nintendo Switches.
I have Harbor Freight bit set. Chewed up a torx bit just like week trying undo a screw. Their bits are cheap metal. Had to grab old set of Wiha I brought awhile ago to remove the screw (My iFixt kit was at work).
You get what you pay for.

I did as well, it's wild to see how much the price has inflated

I understand that iFixit is a good reputable company supporting 'Right-to-Repair' but I'm not sure if my charitable gift is going to them or Amazon. To your point, perhaps it's better to buy direct from ifixit.com.

Yeah, the iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit[ifixit.com] from iFixit is the same price. I suspect Amazon lowered their price because iFixit is having a 20% off sale on this item. However, you'll have to pay shipping on iFixit's store... it was $8.45 for me in NY.

Sounds like you've gone through many kits.
Anything missing or wish they'd change or improve with the iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit that other toolkits might of had?
