This is my go to repair kit as a desktop technician. It has pretty much everything you'd ever need for phones tablets and computers. The quality is great. Sure there are other cheapo brands. Three things I like about it (I have a kit at home and at work) are the grounding armband, the magnetic section of the case, and that you can pull out the box of driver bits separately -and the lid has a bunch of sectioned squares with a raised edge to place screws you remove and keep the ordered for reinstallation.
The different tweezers are also extremely good quality (especially compared to cheaper sets)
This may not be the cheapest set, but if you are looking for one toolkit for repairing electronics this is it.
It's literally the same product from the same factory with some variations in the pryring tools. Both are rebadges. I've compared them in hand.
Get the Harbor Freight if you want to save money. Get the iFixit only if you want to support the company but I personally think it's stupid to just donate $25 to a company instead of using what you saved to buy their other products.
This!
Torx bits are going to strip ifixit kit or harborfreight quinn kit. harborfreight got a lifetime warranty on the set so it's dumb to buy the ifixit version.
I used to be repair tech in the cellphone industry and no professionals use those drivers in the set anyways, they just don't hold up....Only tool we ever did use from ifixit was the good ole jimmy.
You could probably piece together a kit for $60 that would blow this away and only get the drivers you need. Although if you needed a kit for most small repairs it will do the job.
I have used a cheap $12 kit for 4 years without issues. This is not even something fancy or motorized. I am sure it's better quality but what makes it a slickdeal?
For small electronics, probably 0 difference between a $10 kit and a $100 kit. The bits hardly wear anyway. I'm still keeping the old kit I bought 13 years ago. The only problem is that I keep losing bits over the years.
Worth every penny. I've used mine countless times for electronics repair, PCs, laptops, etc and the only bit I've damaged is one of the small flatheads I (ab)use as a pry tool, often metal on metal lol.

err...it's DELIXI...btw xiaomi kits also made by DELIXI.
The delixi kits are also made of chrome vanadium, and hence cheaper I guess compared to S2 steel, which the ifixit bits seem to be made of per product specs. So I'm not sure they are comparable from a quality perspective, although it might fit the needs of most people. But then, the distinction is why $60 vs $20 and I guess the difference in material(regardless of who makes them) and life time warranty is probably couple of the reasons to justify an ifixit purchase for somebody who uses them regularly.
And attached is a snapshot to a delixi kit on aliexpress where the specs say material is Chromium vanadium.
Update: I just observed that ifixit model in OP as listed on amazon is not described as S2 steel, but 6150 steel which is a version of CRV. The same model as shown in ifixit website is shown as S2 steel being used for the bits. Those who are specific might want to validate with ifixit customer support prior to purchase on what you are getting for the money. If it is only CRV material instead of S2, $60 is probably overpriced even for ifixit

FYI harbor freight has pretty much the same exact kit for $38 also with a life time warranty. I'm sure you can get it on Ali express or similar for even cheaper but you risk cheaper quality parts/no warranty
Compared it to my friends ifixit kit and it's pretty much identical quality wise. They are both leagues ahead of the generic china brands you see on Amazon, ali etc that are typically $10-$20
Probably less ethical to get it at HF but this is Slickdeals after all. Also, warranty would be much easier to just walk in and exchange at HF, if needed. they never give a hard time for life time guarantee tools in my own experience
