Not as good as the 399 deal last week which ran out very quickly, but not a bad onooe nevertheless if you don't need the new M2 version

Didn't the new apple ipad air came out? so this is technically not on sale. because it's an older version.

It was just announced, yes, but this outgoing model is probably the smartest buy right now, since the new model is simply a spec bump that most people will never need (M1 -> M2 CPU) and higher base storage (64GB -> 128GB.)

I'd say it depends because for only $150 more, people can get 2x the storage, a better processor, the landscape camera for video calls, Wi-Fi 6E, Apple Pencil Pro support, and a couple of other camera software features (Smart HDR improvements).

Out of all the features, the landscape camera, more storage, and Apple Pencil support would the most important ones.

If none of that extra is warranted, the $399-449 price point for the M1 Air is great value.

The USB-C is probably the most important feature besides the screen (compared to the 10th gen). 64gb is not a lot, but attach a thumb drive, and you can hold tons of media.
