Hey fellow Rebel!
Will I know if I qualify for the 0.99% before placing the $250 deposit? Or do I lock in the order then apply and pray I get the promo rate.
Leased a new Y last month, had a home charger installed, and couldn't be happier with the purchase. Wish this would have been available then as we'd have purchased. Oh well

How much is it to install a home charger? Are these 220V and takes about 8 hrs to charge from empty to full? Thanks.

Well, ours was about $800 for the outlet install and the charger was $400 (used the Emporia NACS version). Some local utilities offer a rebate (like in OR) if you hard wire specific chargers. Ours charges at a rate of roughly 30 miles/hour.
My issue is they don't show you any numbers (i.e. incorporate your trade-in, run-down of tentative monthly payment, run credit so you can see the term you get) PRIOR to you putting down the $250. That's beyond absurd to me. I was going to see about pulling the trigger on it for the wife, but I find it so dumb the numbers could potentially change after your 'deposit'. We both have extremely good credit. I have a vehicle with tons of positive equity, hers would be a wash evening out. But who knows what the hell they would change after they get their deposit.

…especially when they're already pulling this $100 gas savings bs in the original monthly quote.

If you go to the showroom, then you dont have to worry about any of those things including the deposit. I have always had them print out a complete rundown of the charges and trade in value before I bought both of our cars. I got more for my trade in from tesla than from a few places that I had tried to trade in a car, Overall I would say a pleasant non pressure experience both times. This deal also has me thinking to trade up to a Y for my daily driver.

with that in mind, is there any reason to suspect they/Tesla would screw you on the numbers by buying online (compared to in the showroom)?
Difficult choice knowing the updated Y will be out probably within a year. Looking at the new 3 for what Tesla will include in the new Y. But if we wait for the new Y, the interest rate probably won't be 0.99% and may not qualify for the $7,500 tax credit, and Tesla may raise the price of the vehicle.
