True,

This one on Amazon has value as a filler item to get you up to the 5 item threshold for extra % savings on subscribe and save. I do that routinely, throw in 1-2 cheaper $1 items in S&S to get me up to 5 total to get 10% more off the more expensive stuff. Can be a net money maker.

I can be a mustard snob at times, but I'm not going to deny that yellow mustard has its uses.

Based on your recommendation I ordered the Heinz mustard. Actually, I've tasted French's Yellow Mustard a thousand times before and was never particularly impressed with it.

Maybe 5 years ago standing in Walmart I compared the ingredients list to the French's. Heinz first 3 ingredients is vinegar, mustard seed, then water. French's is vinegar, water, THEN mustard seed.

Idk if it actually TASTES better but I've been buying Heinz ever since. I think French's was actually more expensive and you get less mustard and more water. And actually I do think Heinz tastes better. They have good Mayo too.

IMO, Heinz is the best tasting of the american yellow mustards, much better than French's and most of the store brands. Then again, it's what I grew up on, so that's highly subjective. Heinz works much better than generics or Frenchs for smoked pork recipes.
My coworker grew up on French's and she thinks Heinz is too vinegary. YMMV.

If I had a choice, I'd go w/ Thomy deli senf but that gets spendy if you use a lot.

I have 5-6 types of mustard open and in use in the fridge at any time, and always picking up some oddball types, some of them terrible. And my general go-to is American yellow mustard. It's great stuff. Just because it's your first mustard as a kid doesn't mean it isn't best. And way more useful as an ingredient than the funky types.
