In order to nominate a teacher or yourself (a "Nominator") you must be a current legal resident of Canada (excluding Quebec) or the 50 United States (including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico), who is at least thirteen (13) years of age or older at the time of submitting your nomination, unless you are nominating yourself as a Nominee, in which case you must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older to be a Nominee.
A Nominator may nominate any individual that is:
a) a legal resident of Canada (excluding Quebec) or the 50 United States (including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico);
b) 21 years of age or older; and
c) an accredited teacher currently employed at a Public or Private elementary school, middle school, high school, or an accredited university or college in Canada (excluding Quebec) or the 50 United States (including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico) (a "Nominee").
A Nominator may nominate themselves as a Nominee.
In order to vote (a "Voter") you must be a current legal resident of Canada (excluding Quebec) or the 50 United States (including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico), who is at least thirteen (13) years of age or older at the time of voting.
Provide your essay nomination (up to 1,250 characters) describing why the Nominee deserves to win one of the Grand Prizes (as defined below). The essay should include answers to one or more of the following questions:
i. How has the Nominee gone above and beyond to make a lasting impact on their students' lives?
ii. How does the Nominee inspire their students to be the best they can be?
iii. What else can you share about the Nominee that makes them an exceptional teacher?
Upload a high-resolution photograph of the Nominee in front of their school or in their classroom (your essay nomination, together with a photograph, herein, a "Submission")
There is no limit to the number of individuals that a Nominator can nominate, but any Nominator may only nominate the same individual once.
The forty (40) eligible Submissions that receive the highest number of votes at the end of the Contest Period will be deemed the Semi-Finalist Submissions (each a "Semi-Finalist Submission") and the Nominees associated with those Submissions will each be deemed a Semi-Finalist ("Semi-Finalist"), subject to compliance with these Official Rules and final determination of Sponsor.
There is a limit of one vote per Voter per Nominee and votes are subject to verification at any time. All votes must be received by 11:59:59 PM ET on Friday, June 7, 2024.
Sponsor representatives (together, the "Judging Panel"), will judge and score each verified Semi-Finalist Submission based on the following judging criteria (the "Judging Criteria"):
(i) Relevance to the Contest theme (50%);
(ii) The Nominee's lasting impact on his/her students (30%); and
(iii) Content and Originality (20%).
Finalist Prizes
Fifteen (15) Finalist prizes (each, a "Finalist Prize") are available to be won, each consisting of an invitation for Finalist and one (1) guest who is at least twenty-one (21) years of age or older (a "Guest") to an exclusive 2-day event aboard Norwegian Aqua while the ship is docked in Boston, Massachusetts, from April 4, 2025 to April 6, 2025 (the "Norwegian Aqua Inaugural Event"), including:
(a) round-trip coach-class airfare for Finalist and one (1) Guest departing from a major airport located near the Finalist's home (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) to Boston, Massachusetts (if residence is in close enough proximity to the destination city, as the Sponsor determines in its sole discretion, the Sponsor may provide ground travel in lieu of air travel);
(b) one (1) night hotel accommodations on April 3, 2025 in Boston, Massachusetts (as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion) in a standard room based on double occupancy, including breakfast, taxes and fees;
(c) roundtrip ground transfers from the airport to the hotel, hotel to the cruise port, and cruise port to the airport; and
(d) an exclusive 2-day event for Finalist and his/her Guest with two (2) nights' accommodation aboard Norwegian Aqua, in Boston, Massachusetts, from April 4, 2025 to April 6, 2025, inclusive of F&B, WIFI, and other amenities provided to inaugural guests.
The Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") of each Finalist Prize is $1,650.00 USD. Total ARV of all Finalist Prizes is $24,750.00 USD.
Grand Prizes
Five (5) Grand Prizes (each, a "Grand Prize") are available to be won, each consisting of:
a) an invitation for Grand Prize Winner and one (1) guest who is at least twenty-one (21) years of age or older (a "Guest") to an exclusive 2-day event aboard Norwegian Aqua while the ship is docked in Boston, Massachusetts, from April 4, 2025 to April 6, 2025 (the "Norwegian Aqua Inaugural Event"), including:

b) an invitation for Grand Prize Winner and one (1) guest who is at least twenty-one (21) years of age or older (a "Guest") to Norwegian Aqua's Christening Voyage, sailing from Miami, Florida from April 13, 2025 to April 16, 2025 (the "Norwegian Aqua Christening Voyage"), including:
i. roundtrip coach-class airfare for Grand Prize Winner and his/her Guest departing from a major airport located near the Grand Prize Winner's home (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) to Miami, Florida;
ii. one (1) night hotel accommodation on April 12, 2025 in Miami, Florida (as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion) in a standard room based on double occupancy, including breakfast, taxes and fees;
iii. roundtrip ground transfers from the airport to the hotel, hotel to the cruise port, and cruise port to the airport; and
iv. a 3-day cruise for Grand Prize Winner and his/her Guest on Norwegian Aqua's Christening Voyage, sailing from Miami, Florida from April 13, 2025 to April 16, 2025, inclusive of F&B, WiFi, and other amenities provided to inaugural guests.
The ARV of each Grand Prize is $2,800.00 USD. Total ARV of all Grand Prizes is $14,000.00 USD.
Total ARV of all prizes is $38,750.00 USD.

iv. a 3-day cruise for Grand Prize Winner and his/her Guest on Norwegian Aqua's Christening Voyage, sailing from Miami, Florida from April 13, 2025 to April 16, 2025, inclusive of F&B, WiFi, and other amenities provided to inaugural guests.
The ARV of each Grand Prize is $2,800.00 USD. Total ARV of all Grand Prizes is $14,000.00 USD.
