Ive had this for about a year. Installed in the fall. Never had to charge it all winter (live in Boston) it did get down to 2 bars of battery in the winter. Triggered about 3-4 times each day. Since about April the camera has received enough sunlight to be fully charged now.

Would recommend.

The free steam vac would've been cool but I had no plans to spend $800.

Trash don't buy this. Solar panel uv protecting layer will start peel off within a year and led light cover will do the same after a year.

Not the exact camera but I have the s40 version and this happened to mine but despite that somehow it's still working lol. Have had mine for 1 year and a half so far. Does yours still work? Is yours also the s40?

Did they fix the following security flaw??

I think for Eufy security camera that store video in Homebase, the video stored in Homebase is actually encrypted. And if the camera is stolen and reset by the thief (which I heard only take seconds to reset the camera), you no longer can "decrypt" the old video file stored in Homebase so the video in Homebase become useless and not accessible.

Meaning if you Eufy camera is stolen AND RESET and you want to check the OLD video stored in Homebase to see what happened, you can't because of this(??)

Those that has this camera, can you try push the button in the camera to reset it. And see if you can still access any old video stored on Homebase?

I bought 2 Eufy S40's which are similar to this, and one died shortly after the warranty expired. Eufy offered me 20% off a new one from them directly, which was more than the everyday online price at the rain forest giant. I wouldn't recommend this camera, but if you decide to buy it, I would consider an extended warranty offer.
