Would this be good for protecting a bicycle from getting scratches etc?
Now if one were to use a layer of thick latex bike tube for a twenty inch by four inch wide tire; simply cut out a large enough protective thick cushioned built up latex bike tube section layer where scratches typically might occur; then also simply cut a section of that protective foam pool noodle and place that over the latex bike tube section; finally cover the protective foam pool noodle layer with a final top protective thick cushioned built up latex bike tube section layer. Make sure to use aggressive contact adhesive cement to glue the two layers of latex bike tube section layer to the mid section of the protective foam pool noodle. Now this should yield a very substantial nearly impenetrable layer of scratch protection to one's bike frame underneath; one could quite literally lay down one's bike without worrying about potentially scratching it on a day to day basis
I didn't even realize there were other colors. I was going crazy thinking clear just plain sucked and I must have gotten a bad batch with how much people raved about tenacious tape.
Clear is so bad; it's not sticky enough for anything flexible when stuck to how stiff the tape is. At best, this is some generic fabric patches you can adhere to something with E6000 as the adhesive.
This is a waste of money with how expensive per foot and how useless it is.
Clear definitely isn't the same. It works decently though. I loaded up on a few rolls of this a month ago when I saw it was $2.99. This is a sweet deal. At this price, it's worth keeping around. I've used it to patch air mattresses for camping, puffer jackets, and leather seats
