For those wondering why some people are asking about Bluetooth. Some G-shock (non-smartwatched) have Bluetooth connectivity to sync time and set alarms.

Sure it's not necessary, but it's a lot more convenient when your day light saving time automatically updates, or being able to quickly manage your alarms using your phone.

It really is a monster of a watch. I bought the similarly large Rangemaster and I honestly don't feel like I can pull it off. But I can't get myself to return it because the deal was too good

These watches are busy, and the buttons on the side are huge so they're oversized but it's not just a large dial. If you're interested you should go try one on, it's not like a normal watch that's just too large for your wrist, these watches are big and bulky by design that people like.
