I've done a lot of research on sinus recently, and many of their models have fiberglass inside the cover. If it's something you're concerned with (twin mattresses are often for kids), definitely do some reading on this first. I ended up going with cheap inner coils because you can't get an affordable memory foam that's fiberglass free. They may say they are but are often referring to the liner it's zipped into. Worth checking before purchase.

Genuine question - what's the concern with fiberglass? I would expect the fibers to be encapsulated by the mattress outer layer? Is the worry that kids will tear the mattress and allow fiberglass to leak out? Or if the fibers can breakdown and leak out?

I did as well. Talked to customer service via chat. They wont do a price adjustment. They want you to do a return and rebuy. I refused. Gave me a 15 dollar coupon. Re-ordered same bed at 103. Use the 15 to bring it down to 88. When it arrives will return the old one.

What research did you do on a mattress condom ? Zip it and forget it.

For those who have this mattress, is it soft, medium, or firm?

Fiberglass works through these unless you get a solid plastic one, and those can be uncomfortable.

For most people fiberglass fibers can cause rashes and they itch, and inhaling fiberglass fibers is really, really bad. That's my most scientific answer.
