Been seeing a few popular bObsweep deals lately. Anyone have some feedback about the brand?

Been using Bobsweep for a while.
Pros: good vacuum suction power, LiDAR mapping is perfect.
Cons: mopping does not work as expected; expensive dust bags.
This model does not have mopping and self-emptying features, so you don't have to worry about the cons. Why not give it a try?

For those looking for more details about bObsweep robot vacs, there are detailed reviews and anecdotes on Reddit in r/RobotVacuums, to draw your own conclusions.

Beware of (robot) vacuum models that don't disclose their actual suction power in their specifications.
Also, be mindful of the suction power measurement used. Specifically, measuring by Air Watts (air flow) can be highly inaccurate, when compared to Pascals.

Be cautious of any company that doesn't readily disclose their vacuum's suction power in Pascals, but know that any suction power or airflow measurements can be adulterated.
For instance, Roborock is known for measuring suction power at the blower, which is not where the rubber meets the road. It's like measuring a car's engine horsepower output from the crank, instead of the wheels, where it matters.

The same goes for battery capacity. You'd need external equipment to measure the actual capacity, so many manufactures under disclose, or fail to disclose their devices' battery capacity. I'm looking at you, NOCO auto jumper packs 😞

tl;dr vacuum product listings often omit information and/or sensationalize air flow and suction power specs to entice your purchase

I got the Dustin model from Sam's when it was on sale. For $200, it has cleaned our house quite reliably. The mopping functionality leaves a lot to be desired

If money is no issue, what robotvac should someone buy? I look up reviews of these things and even the expensive ones seem to have issues.

Same here. Just mop the floors yourself, because any of these units aren't going to do as good a job on that. For keeping floors clean otherwise, running a time or two a week, these are great.

Looks like a budget Roborock 🤔. May be worth a try if the software is as good.

I bought one from sams with the station for 200 the dusty or watev, its been 6 months works great we use it almost everyday the bags hold alot works good we dont use the mop just vaccume living room or rooms, the app is ok but it works. Came from a eufy that had random on and off issues, later it started working right again prob firmware issue.
