Bosch makes great dishwashers but at the expense of making them more difficult to install then they need to be. Also not a fan of the top display "touch" controls or that the last few I installed for customers have the water inlet in the back with a bottom that extends to the floor making it very difficult to check for leaks after install. Plastic feet are also notoriously difficult to adjust

Costco also adds the extra year of warranty. Plus I believe their 800 model is the German made SHX78B75UC with a water softener built in which is usually only on the benchmark series.

I cannot recommend the Bosch 800 series dishwashers. Ours leaks rinse aid all over the dishes, the top (third) rack is absolutely useless with the under-powered top nozzle, and the drying system has failed on ours after about 3.5 years. Without the drying system, all cycles will fail with the E07 error code, regardless of dry setting. You can temporarily fix this by using a wet vac to suck the pooled water out of the right-side inlet. This fix lasts about 3-5 cycles.

Unfortunately, this dishwasher doesn't stand the test of time (<4 years).

Might be the first DW I actually liked. I wish the silverware rack cleaned a little better. Ive seen some other models with an actual sprayer up there etc. But id give it an 8.5/10

The installation was mostly ok. Installation for the kick plate made absolutely no sense. Even level 2 tech support said the manual is trash on that part.

The plastic feet round over easily while tighten if youre not careful.

0 issues since install tho

Yeah, install is showing as almost $250. Add in haul-away and I may as well just get it at Costco ($130 discount there currently).

Anyone know if you can buy the stainless steel and covert it to white by buying spare parts? Right now all our appliances are white in our kitchen but light be switching to stainless if/when we remodel.
Just buy vinyl wrap from Amazon and stick it over. Super simple

Great price. Bosch dishwashers are already the best value, this makes it even better. I installed a Bosch 500 myself a couple of years ago and it was absolutely diy doable. If you are a little handy and are doing a replacement of an existing dishwasher, it's really not difficult. What do they charger for haul away of the old machine though?

I've had no issues with the third rack if things are spaced appropriately and am overall very impressed with the 800. I think it is also important that while it is a pretty hyped up dishwasher, at the end of the day it's still a dishwasher and all are going to have their limitations. I went from having to hand wash several dishes after every load on my old, non Bosch dishwasher to maybe having to do touch up on 1 dish every 4 loads or so and that is on a very heavy soiled items. Also with the crystal dry it is important to make sure your dishes/containers aren't lying flat, especially plastic and you should have issues there.

Consumer reports rates the SHX78B75UC version of the 800 significantly lower than this one. Not sure why.

My guess is they charge for haul away is because they gotta pay the guy who is picking it up and also pay to dump it.

Mine got delivered this morning, I paid the internet price ($1167). Wonder if I can price match with the store near my place. They are going to say internet and store prices are different, etc... a bit annoying it's not the same price for all
Can't you buy it in store and return the in store one with the receipt of the one which you bought from the Internet?

I would think the receipt is tied to the serial on the box.
Called them yesterday but they don't want to price match. How come they can't price match with their own stores ?? (checked with my credit card but no price protection)
