Bosch makes great dishwashers but at the expense of making them more difficult to install then they need to be. Also not a fan of the top display "touch" controls or that the last few I installed for customers have the water inlet in the back with a bottom that extends to the floor making it very difficult to check for leaks after install. Plastic feet are also notoriously difficult to adjust

Costco also adds the extra year of warranty. Plus I believe their 800 model is the German made SHX78B75UC with a water softener built in which is usually only on the benchmark series.

I cannot recommend the Bosch 800 series dishwashers. Ours leaks rinse aid all over the dishes, the top (third) rack is absolutely useless with the under-powered top nozzle, and the drying system has failed on ours after about 3.5 years. Without the drying system, all cycles will fail with the E07 error code, regardless of dry setting. You can temporarily fix this by using a wet vac to suck the pooled water out of the right-side inlet. This fix lasts about 3-5 cycles.

Unfortunately, this dishwasher doesn't stand the test of time (<4 years).

Spectacular price for this machine. Love our 800 series with Crystal Dry. Installation was easy for me.
Yeah. Couldn't agree more. We love our 800 series as well. The top tray for spoons and ladles is a great feature that saves space in the bottom load area.

One small thing to note. Over time our 800 has an E24 water leak issue. Turns out there are others who have the same issue. But the preventive fix is to wipe the rubber gasket seals and the steel area to keep free of grime that solidifies and creates a gap for water to flow down to the leak detector.

I recently installed a new Bosch dishwasher because ours was not drying correctly. When I did, I honestly was surprised with how easy it was. I had a hardwired dishwasher previously so I had to learn how to wire an outlet into a junction box as this is a standard outlet plug in. From there, it was simply hooking up the drain hose and getting a coupler. Installed a couple of screws to mount it to the counters and used the adjustable wrench that came with it to turn the feet. I would rate the install a 2/10 of difficulty personally. One big note is that most dishwashers use a 90 degree elbow...I did NOT need this piece and could not use it because the hose that comes with the Bosch is metric, not imperial.

Bought one a few years ago. Installed it myself. Had lower model in previous house. Best dishwashers you can buy IMO

Sales person said the in-store electronic price tag is updated in Atlanta. It showed $898 Special Buy. Initially, he was only able to see the higher price, but he eventually 'found it.' I think he did an internal log-in to the site. Successfully purchased in NY 5/21, no delivery fee but will come in June.

Does anyone know if the sale is on just the stainless steel or can you get it in white with the same discount?
I was just in store and the sale price tag listed white at the non-sale price, so I assume it is not on sale.

As someone that went through it recently, I have to agree about unnecessary installation effort. The exterior junction box for hardwiring it is absurd. But all that said, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Small price to pay every 10 years for a dishwasher that actually washes and dries the dishes.

Got this model in black stainless as part of a Bosch 800 series appliance suite. Very good dishwasher. Highly recommended! CrystalDry works great. $898 is an excellent deal.

I have two of these I got around the same price after rebates. The racks on my 14 year old 800 plus models were rotting out.

Not going to lie, it's a significant downgrade in Fit and finish, sound and build quality. I'm not impressed for a $900 machine. The crystal dry fan is cool but you hear it and the acoustics of it sounds like a cheap fan.

This dishwasher was my worst purchase in a long time. I had it installed by HD and it stopped working after one cycle. They sent out 3 guys over the next month and it only now works. Each guy kept complaining about how they changed out the electronics for the new chip (so they could have this useless app) and they didn't ensure it works. So now they break all the time. I've had Bosch before. Right now I wouldn't buy one until they straighten their tech out. I just want something that washes my dishes.

I just wanted to clarify. I believe the Costco one is last year's model. In other words, one generation behind the one listed here.
