Unfortunately, this dishwasher doesn't stand the test of time (<4 years).

Anyways, aside from the racks, I also needed to solder in 2 new relays bc the water would not heat on cycle. You'll know bc the dishes will not be clean but slimy due to the grease. It was easy enough even though I'm not a good solderer.
I've owned whirlpool and other top brand, and by far, the Bosch is the best due to quietness and actually drying the dishes.
If you install this yourself for $900 this is a great price. If you need a dishwasher this is the one you want.
Here is a pic of the price tag at the store.

I bought the 300 series with the front controls instead of top controls. Since the 300 and 500 finish drying by popping the door open, I wondered if controls placed in that area would withstand the heat and steam as well as ones placed on the front of the door. I also thought it might be a tight fit to the top of the counter as well, which might damage the controls.
Not sure the touch controls will outlast the buttons longer, BUT I do like the updated look much better. The WiFi was also a nice feature I thought I wouldn't need, but it comes in handy as I can turn on the dishwasher that way too. With that said, I would have bought a less frills model (like the older style Maytag, Whirlpool, KitchenAid that would last for 20 to 30 years) with a timer and a few push buttons if still available. Not as much that can go wrong.
I use sani, x-tra dry, and max rinse aid (it's not even the Turbo dry). Then I manually pop door open at the end.
I had mixed feelings on whether the crystal dry was worth it or not, but my dishes (mostly Corelle, metal, and glass) are dry even with the 300 series (the rack design, third rack, and stainless steel bottom were worth the < $700 price I paid over the 100 basic model). The inside of plastic is dry as well. Water may pool on the top of plastics where it can't run off. Just take a towel and do a quick swipe before putting away.
As it is the tray on the bottom (part of aqua stop feature?) may make a repair take longer, but it can save your floor too. Not sure how much more complicated the crystal dry feature makes it to do a simple repair like replace the circulation pump. I need to be able to make simple repairs myself. Since I've read earlier in this post crystal dry not working can throw an error where a temporary fix is required every few washes even to use the pop door option, I'm glad I just skipped it. With the newer type of controls, I'd be surprised if this lasts ten years but we'll see. So it's still the price difference every time I do have to replace these appliances. Seems like 5 to 10 years is the max life for our eco conscious standards now (yes, I am being sarcastic as I don't see how shorter life, running an appliance longer, etc. outweighs what they think the standard will save). I do feel Bosch is probably a little better quality than the newer model Maytag (chopper issues) or KitchenAid (leak issues, electronic failures, etc.) models that I was also considering.
