This is correct. You need a model number ending in LL/A for sensor to be enabled. If it ends in LW/A the sensor is disabled. I purchased mine from target a few days ago and made sure it was the LL/A model before I left. I confirm it has the blood oxygen sensor working. It's on my wrist now lol!
