I bought the 8 piece a month ago-ish when they were on sale for $1200. Now they're $999. I would recommend them. I have a lot of tools and diy stuff and wasn't able to fill them up. Super solid even with "regular duty" steel. The wood work top is actually pretty nice and super solid. If you don't have a large truck or trailer I highly recommend getting them delivered. They arrive on two large pallets. Not heavy but bulky. A dolly will help move them around and be prepared for lots of heavy duty boxing.
Also I feel I have to warn about things home depot ships to store or home. I've placed two large orders over the last few years. Specialty items that had to ship. Both were completely wrong when they arrived. These cabinets were one of them. When I returned them I got such a hassle in getting them reordered with a price match that I almost left. I wish I had now that they are $200 cheaper.
This is absolutely not a safe, and certainly not a gun safe. A lockable cabinet, yes, possibly fit for ammunition, but I would not store firearms in one.
Nice! I ordered one.
Has anyone had experience using this set or similar? I'm worried about the dents on delivery and developing rust after a few months of use.
I have a Heavy Duty tool chest, and it has held up just fine. No issues with delivery/transport damage. It was worth every penny

okay the 6-Piece Heavy Duty Welded Steel Garage Storage System is $1,299 + $50 shipping (for me) and the 7-Piece Regular Duty Welded Steel Garage Storage System is $899 shipping included. Is the Heavy duty that much more sturdy? For a lot less I can get the regular duty with a stainless steel worktop (heavy duty doesn't come with one) - insights appreciated!

These units tend to go on sale at around 50% off list a few times per year. It's a good deal, but if last year is any indication, you can expect to see similar pricing around black Friday, if not before then.
think they are starting early for fathers day this year
there are normally prices lowered in the fall but i feel most of it comes down to new models for their products start popping in during the fall which can be bad or good
one year prices went up but they used thicker steel in their toolboxes and only went up a little, a few years later they basically kept the prices but went back to using thinner steel
so "shrug" also due to higher interest rates maybe these have not been moving at all after christmas so they started sales earlier to hopefully empty out as much extra inventory as possible
I'm moving next month...trying to decide if I buy now and attempt to have delivery delayed until I'm in the new place or just wait for the next sale. Most seem to think these prices recur several times/year. I definitely don't want to acquire and then have to move these.

The listings have the weight limits in them for each piece. For most use cases, I would be regular would be just fine for most people.
I'm amazed that people are downvoting you. I went with the one you linked. As others have mentioned, regular duty is probably fine for most, but the base cabinet/chest and table are good deals as part of this set. Most of the other sets only have 2-door cabinets, which I find to be less useful.
I keep seeing more of this "ready-to-assemble" marketing gimmick of a description. Anything unassembled is technically ready to assemble.
The "Ready to assemble" is like a tier of these cabinets. After RTA, they have Welded Regular Duty and Welded Heavy Duty, then Pro. I think they just use that term so you understand that.
