I have bought 4-5 North Face backpacks. And I can see that its build quality goes down pretty dramatically recently. When inflation hit, companies have two choices. Jack up the price or drop the quality. Asics is the first. I cannot believe how expensive those shoes now. North Face Backpack (no comment on its clothes), is the second. The recent Recon backpacks are made so bad that the back pouch is saggy on everyone of them. The Recons I got 20 years ago for my wife and 5 years ago for my son are genuinely much nicer products. The Borellis I got for my wife 6 years ago and is now used by my daughter was built so much better with high quality materials and lots of details. These recent ones cannot compare. There is a reason these are so cheap. If one really wants a deal. Go to Livermore Outlet near San Francisco, these can be had for $35 or $40.
Storefront isn't allowing me to complete the order for some reason. Tried with multiple credit cards, adblock on and off, multiple browsers...

This is a great backpack, and this is very good price.
As an owner of one, the only thing I'd caution is its bungee cords in the front can easily catch on things when going to places. I wouldn't mind buying another one though, but Recon would not have this issue.
Just got back from vacationing in Hawaii a few weeks ago.
While there I noticed North Face backpacks were very popular - with both hikers on trails and tourists around town. Maybe i should look into getting one.

What do you mean? The shoulder straps adjustment? Or the bungee cords?

While most school years are coming to an end, this would be great planning for the start of next school year.
