If you're getting one bag the obvious answer is the 42L. It's slightly larger, but you can fit more things. It's suitable for plane, car, camping, edc, anything. I got the 32L mainly for my son because I don't want him to carry too much. Although if you're a minimalist then a 32L would be plenty.

Yea I had to double check which post I was on lol. A lot of these deals lately.
This has a lot of pockets and nets. The quality seems good, although I would have liked it a bit thicker so it held its shape a bit better when it isn't stuffed full
I've regularly flown with a 55L Osprey pack on airlines that are known to be strict with their carry on guidelines and have never had a problem. I think that most airlines will have a beef if your pack is "bulky" as opposed to big if that makes sense.
