Just buy a Roku Ultra or Apple TV. I did with our Samsung 85QN90A and the Roku turns the set on and off, no need for the Samsung remote. The built in smart chips are always mid tier and low on ram. They work great for a year or so, then a hard reboot is needed to clear them.
Nice price on this set. We have a TCL 65" 6 series that's still going strong. It needed a TCon board replacement within warranty, that's it. It's at least 6 or 7 years old.

I've had 3 tcls, used 2 as monitors. All 3 eventually broke. Bought a hisense in 2017 and it is still flawless.

Samsung makes their screens in Korea but the TVs are built in china.

LG tvs outside of their oleds have garbage screens.

Most of the components on every TV are all sourced from China anyways. But I think I'll be avoiding TCL and Vizio indefinitely.

different class, this (QM850g) was TCL's best in class for the year 2023. Brightness and color are all much better than comparable price competitors (Hisense u8k comes close, tcl is brighter). TCL has the QM851g for the year 2024 but that one is twice the price currently. You can check rtings.com's review.

All of our TCL TV's still work perfectly. Their 6 Series TV's were great values. That said, getting rid of Roku was a mistake even though the Roku OS was sometimes buggy.

I've owned this TV for more than a year, it's bright as fark. I have it in my living room which is nearly all windows. The viewing angle issue isn't a big deal for me as my couch can only view it from direct/straight on. It is a very good TV and I paid $1,800 for mine new. No regrets for a brightly lit room. Watched Moana first on it and Te Kā's fireballs at the end of the movie are literally blinding, it's insane, even at 60% brightness.
