I get over a day on my 6 Classic but TBH have regrets upgrading from the 4 Classic as I gained basically nothing. 5 has the best battery life but I like the bezel that turns. Apple and Samsung really need to figure out this battery life thing though as we should be at a week minimum.
Only 5 Pro has better battery life due to the larger battery.

What's the deal with the battery life? ie. my 1st gen Galaxy watch (46mm?) only needs a charge twice/week.. all of the newer gens seem to have taken a major step backwards? or am I just a light user of it? (I have screen only come on for notifications and when I twist my wrist)

Tizen has better battery life than WearOS. However, the smaller watch should last over 1 day and the larger one lasts over 2 days. Even for the smaller watches, it isn't a big deal if you can charge it for 30-40m everyday.

After checking all these deals on Samsung watches. I ended up getting a watch5 pro from Amazon (same seller shared by @birdman212) looks to be the same seller from eBay (Ceelfee) both are located in Astoria, New York. The one I bought was the BT version in excellent condition per Amazon post ($129). Paid a bit extra than eBay's price but 90 days free return (shipped by Amazon) is peace of mind in case the watch comes in fair or good condition. (Looks to be an issue with these sellers)

Hard to believe they are brand new by eBay standards:
New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item in its original packaging (where packaging is applicable). Packaging should be the same as what is found in a retail store, unless the item is handmade or was packaged by the manufacturer in non-retail packaging, such as an unprinted box or plastic bag.

I have a S3 Frontier that I use on occasion. How much of an upgrade is this? Also, this connects to your phone as well, right? I don't need to get lte for it?

Apologies for the newb questions. Thx.

Best solution is to buy 2 and swap daily. That's what I do with my 5 pro every 3 days.

2 for $166 is super cheap.

What do you need 5g on a watch for, you gonna watch netflix?
It's more for network coverage, carriers will move more of their signals to the 5G bands and convert LTE bands over, so there'd be less places with LTE, or more congested on LTE bands.

I don't think so. Tired with S3, most of the things didn't work.

Forgive my ignorance...
With an LTE watch do you need to have the LTE service for it to just stay paired to your phone? I don't care about it being an independent wireless device.

I have the 4 classic. Lasts me a whole day with everything turned on except always on display. Got it when it came out, whenever that was.

After an update the battery lasts much longer, then it learns to burn through it faster in the coming week or two and the battery life goes back to normal.

My only gripe is after I turn it back on I need to wait about 15 minutes for it to work right, the display works--showing the time/date, etc, but I can't push any icon on the face or go into any menu and get a response, so I just let it sit there for a while before putting it on.

I've considered buying another as a backup and I'd jump on this instantly if it were silver.
