Please stay away from the Mirai. The hydrogen/H2 fuel costs $36/kg. The $15K fuel card they will give is good for 25K miles. It'll cost ~$180 to fill up, which is good for ~300 miles. I'm part of a telegram group of Mirai owners. Many there cannot get near to 400 miles advertised range, no matter how hard they try. People in SolCal have to deal with unreliable H2 stations. People in SF just had their only 3 local stations closed permanently.

It may be irrelevant here, but need to vent. I first time rented EV, Chevrolet Bolt 2023 with 18k miles only and have been extremely disappointed with the use of its electric juice. Basically, be prepared to charge it everyday and finding a charging station is in itself challenging even if you are forgiving on 1+ hour of wasted time it to be charged just to 80%. If you use heat, and soon AC, then may God be with you because you will be running to charging station every half day and will cost a lot more than gas.

With that said, if anyone knows hybrid used car they recommend for heavy work use, list here your opinion and experience

This is for folks who plan to be responsible and make payments after 90 day, not those whom never plan on making payments in the first place. In case you didn't know, just like other car manufacturers Mitsubishi can and will track your vehicle for non-payment and repo through their gps tracking system as well as Mitsubishi Connect. It's posted on their website.

Well, it's because it's made off of the Nissan Rogue.

I've had good experiences with my infiniti's (also Nissan powertrain). That said, I'm also diligent about doing scheduled maintainances on time.

I don't understand why anyone would finance this. If you're not able to buy outright, this is too much of a car to begin with. You're just paying a jacked up retail price to cover the cost of your 0% loan. Quick comparison is last summer I purchased a 2023 Subaru Ascent Limited for $39k. A much better and bigger car from a reputable manufacturer with plenty of options and I paid cash. There are so many options in the $35-40k band that are so much better.

Have you ever driven or research the Outlander? I test drove several cars and researched over the past couple of years for this class and chose the Outlander plugin - almost bought a Rav 4 prime and EV6 and still came to the Outlander bc it was ahead in several areas.

I borrowed one for a week, it took range anxiety to a whole new level

Interesting comments. I bought a Telluride last year but before driving anything I had narrowed it down to that and the Outlander. Outlander got great reviews from all the car guys on YouTube and I never saw anything as negative as what I've seen here.
I own a 21 Telly SX-P. I can't imagine cross-shopping the two; they are two completely different cars. The Telly is a near-luxe car with 10 year (powertrain) warranty and has had reviewers raving for about 4 years now. I'm not aware of any raving for this Mitsubishi. The Mitsu Outlander (rated 77 on Consumer Reports) competes against smaller, simpler cars, like the RAV4 (89), Subaru Forester (88), Kia Sportage (87), and Hyundai Tucson(85). They all outclass this car for most folks.

Mitsu is dying on the vine in America. I can't imagine buying one (any of them, alas) in America in the past 10 years or so; they have neither money nor engineering prowess required to introduce competitive cars in this country. I wonder how long they will continue in the USA; IMHO most Mitsu dealers have a primary business of either selling another brand or selling used cars, and they sell Mitsu on the side.
