Mitsu is dying on the vine in America. I can't imagine buying one (any of them, alas) in America in the past 10 years or so; they have neither money nor engineering prowess required to introduce competitive cars in this country. I wonder how long they will continue in the USA; IMHO most Mitsu dealers have a primary business of either selling another brand or selling used cars, and they sell Mitsu on the side.

Mitsu's not in good shape with respect to cars in the USA (and yes, I'm aware they're a *MASSIVE* company, and their car division in the USA is only a tiny portion of their balance sheets. You bring up increased sales. Everyone has had increased sales; nobody was selling cars in a good portion of the pandemic; some stats should just be ignored. I'm glad, for the sake of competition, that the Outlander is doing well. But I would never buy a Mitsubishi. Their heyday was in the 80s and 90s.

Haven't seen a Mitsu in Chicagoland for over 10 years.
Thought they had surrendered to brands that offered 10 year warranties.
