Engine and transmission is a Nissan if anyone js wondering. Id stay away from nissan.

Please stay away from the Mirai. The hydrogen/H2 fuel costs $36/kg. The $15K fuel card they will give is good for 25K miles. It'll cost ~$180 to fill up, which is good for ~300 miles. I'm part of a telegram group of Mirai owners. Many there cannot get near to 400 miles advertised range, no matter how hard they try. People in SolCal have to deal with unreliable H2 stations. People in SF just had their only 3 local stations closed permanently.

It's basically a Nissan Rogue with its famous ever failing CVT transmission. I would stay away from this at all cost!

I believe the reason is that PHEV is not made in USA. It's made in Japan so doesn't qualify for rebate.

I just checked and it looks like the qx56 and qx80 don't have CVT, which might explain why I've never come across them/heard of them.

I must live in some sort of "car deal dead zone" because every time I've seen one of these low price manufacturer-incentivized leases or deals, there isn't an eligible car nor participating dealership within 100 mile radius. Honestly it feels like manufacturers put these out in extremely limited quantities to either check some promotions/tax write off box or to get foot traffic into dealers. I've tried on the last 3 or 4 of these that I saw, from memory - this one, the Hyundai ioniq 6 se fp deal, the toyota bz4x ev fp deal, and at least one other that I can't recall at the moment. I know at least one of those required you submit your info and agreeing to marketing BEFORE telling you it was out of stock. Frustrating.

Well if they sell a truck at $70k that was $50k 3 years ago and offer "0%" then you think you are getting a deal missing the fact that they are charging $20k more than they were 3 years ago and the $2-$3k they subvent in interest nary makes up for the $15k+ gouging you are suffering today. Go take a look at Toyota and you can see that in action w. their truck/SUV line up this year. When in 2-3 years these depreciate 60% when people can't afford them then if you bought one of these you will feel the pain. For instance I owned a Tesla I got rid of this year before it depreciated into nothing, but I would 100% only lease an EV now because of the tax incentive and you know it will dep 60%+ in a few years.

Indeed. Avoid the Mirari. There is a station just 3 miles away from me (in SoCal, AQMD) yet it is unreliable.

The car is going to depreciate to zero quickly.

I turned down a mint used Mirari from an acquaintance. He was asking $7000. (I'm sure he would have gone for $5000 if I haggled). No thanks.

I'd rather own an old Nissal Leaf that gets 50 mile range. At least the Leaf is predictable.
