Maybe you are asking them to give YOU a discount just because you saw an post on slickdeal where they are selling something YMMV in which they will not do.

Impossible to find these deals in new england costcos. I visited almost everyday for it, asked to costco worker, he said someone saw it and bought all of them. This happened many time.
