Same price at REI if you'd rather buy there: https://www.rei.com/product/10128...ke-cleaner
It's just a spray soap like you'd get for cars, nothing special. Can be used on anything painted, really. I just use concentrated soaps and dilute. Significantly cheaper. I do use an auto soap on my road bike with a foam cannon.
I have this and I clean both my road and MTB bikes and overall it works pretty well, you just need to make sure that you wet the bike before application. It does get the crud off and soaps up well and is convenient with the spray bottle.

As another commenter noted there's probably no reason you need a bike specific cleaner and there are many other soap options which are far more cost effective.

https://www.rei.com/product/17668...oncentrate concentrate seems like a better buy if you have a spray bottle and don't mind mixing your own

Can I use it on my cassette and chain?
Yes, I use it to clean my chain and cassette, and it works very well. Remember to dry the chain and apply lubricant afterward.

This wouldn't be a good degreaser. Use on the rest of the bike. I use Simple Green for the drivetrain.

I definitely wouldn't be using car shampoo or Dawn dish soap to wash bikes. The best deal I can find is Peaty's concentrate. less than 20 bucks that makes 5 Liters. You want something less harsh to clean the bike. This item works great, but still costly IMO

The muc off drivetrain cleaner is good for quick cleanings when just applying new lube. It's not a deep cleaner.
Thanks

If you mean if you can get it on them without harm, yes.
It's probably not the best to clean them though.

They do make one that does a good job assisting with that.
It is also on sale for $14.99 at REI.

I can understand not using car shampoo (mine has wax in it), but what's wrong with using Dawn dish soap?

I use general automotive wash to wipe down the frame, tires, housing, etc. It's made for painted surfaces and to not strip wax. It's not too aggressive but works well for the type of dirt you'd encounter on a bike.

I use Dawn for drivetrain cleaning, along with a tooth brush... unless I'm using a specific chain cleaning tool in which case I'll use their recommended detergent.

There's really no reason to pay more for specialty products here. Hell, there's plenty of threads out there of people causing premature failures due to products like Muc off causing brittleness when not used according to directions (don't soak overnight in a tub).

I would use it on the drivetrain since is a good degreaser/solvent. I would just rather pay 20 bucks every few years for something that's specially formulated to wash a bike. If I'm willing to pay thousands of dollars on a bike, then 20 dollars on something that is more mild is a no brainer to me.
Also, a lot of pro bike mechanics say not to as well

Muc off nanotech bike cleaner specifically says it's safe for use on ALL bike components.

It's prob fine on the drive train.
