It's because China sells their honey through those countries, to avoid "China" being on the label as the source. Chinese honey has been known to contains high levels of heavy metals.

Almost all beekeepeers use sugar syrup at least in seasons when they aren't producing honey. It holds over the bees when their food supplies are low and doesn't end up in the final product. I am a beekeeper myself.

People avoid imported honey because it's often watered down with sugar syrup directly to increase volume.

I just tell people to get the Kirkland honey that's regional. It's kinda local and made in the US. Or find your local beekeepers.

Is it because they feed them corn syrup or something?

I only buy local honey, or at least honey from the local statewide region I live in. Not going to buy honey from a different country. Most people that want raw/unfiltered honey want local honey, not honey from the other side of the world.

Based on this article I'm not going to make the purchase. I still have one unopened bottle of Nate's to go through. I'm open to any information that comes in that exonerates them.

Honey from another Country...Yuck...Should only by local honey to get real benefits...
There are guidelines for how the colony must be managed in order to market the honey as raw. Because the US does not have any adopted procedures for certifying honey organic, the US doesn't have any US-produced organic honey.

How do (you) know that this one contains honey from China, speculation?

Ordered this before and it has a distinct smelly odor/aftertaste to it. Tossed it out after using it a few times. Won't buy it again.
