I can think of a few:
- My experience is that my skin dried out when I used it regularly, but there are plenty of Amazon reviews which claim the opposite. And to be fair, Permatex claims that it is "Fortified with aloe, lanolin, Glycerin, and other skin Conditioners". But I suspect they are doing that precisely because there is other stuff in their product which does dry out your skin. Or mine at least.
- This stuff is overkill for washing your hands for every bathroom visit. I don't think using pumice on your skin constantly is a good idea, and you should only use it when you need it to remove paint, grease, etc.
- The pumice gives the cleaner a slightly gritty texture. Their dispenser works really well (mine has never clogged or spurted), but I suspect that if you wanted to use a conventional soap dispenser instead - something more appropriate for a bathroom - then it might get clogged.
All that said, I agree with the other reviews: this is a fantastic product at a bargain price.
Hands down a great product. I still have the one from last November that I ordered the same for $9.32 + tax = $10.
Got it when it was a slickdeal april 20, 2016 for 7.07. Still have it, prob 2/3rds full lol. Only use it when working on car pretty much

Does this stuff go bad really? I've only ever bought small containers and used it up. i could see something like this potentially lasting many years for me (i have soft hands brother)

Any downsides to using this as normal hand soap for like the bathroom?

Not exactly, I had a jug that I forgot about for many years that had dried up to point it couldn't pump anymore. Added water and seems to work fine, just the consistency isn't same as new.

(I'd rather use gloves most of the time over this)
