CRI stands for Color Rendering Index, which is a measure of how well a light source renders colors in a space. It's a number between 0 and 100, with higher numbers indicating more accurate color rendering:
0: All colors look the same
100: Shows the true colors of the object
80–90: Good
90+: Excellent

High CRI LED lighting renders beautiful, vibrant tones across the full-color spectrum. However, CRI is only one measurement for light quality.

color rendering index. these are a basic 80 cri. anything over 90 is really good. these are adequate.

Can anyone explain what the following means?
Do we get a 22.5 years warranty where we can replace the bulbs before that (if the company still exists) or will they replace only for 5 years./

"GUARANTEES: etl listed, quality and safety verified, 22.5 years led bulb lifespan, 5 years warranty."
By that text, obviously the warranty is for "only" 5 years.

I got some from this brand the last time it showed up on SD. It is indeed very bright for the form factor, but the CRI is pathetic. I personally wouldn't recommend these.

If you don't midn the CRI, these are a good deal
They also have a really weird, kind of spot lighty output direction... I returned mine last time around, about a year ago they were so bad.

So what happens to the 22.5 years of led life, if their bulb goes out in the 6th year.

Very convenient to say warranty is for 5 years but the bulb will last 22.5 years.

Yes, that's the other thing for this bulb design.. The light does not spread across towards the side and the ceilings as well as other bulbs, but it's instead focused below the bulb. That can be a deal breaker for some people, especially when installing in bathrooms or lamps, etc.

So if you're colorblind, these should be fine.

All they're saying is that's the expected lifespan with average use, but they're only guaranteeing it for 5 years. What kind of guarantee do you think is profitable at this price... 5 years is already a stretch.

What makes these better than the $1/bulb options often seen in big box stores? 6 for $10 seems ok but are these otherwise special bulbs? Apparently their color quality isn't.

Not necessarily better - just different looking with their weird cooling slots, more spotlight than flood, and heavily promoted because Amz.

True, although this has been a common issue since LED bulbs first came out. An LED has a long lifetime (and this seems to be the number that is often advertised as "it can last this long!"), but what usually breaks is the LED driver. This is particularly aggravated/accelerated by operating in a hot environment.
These SANSI bulbs claim to have an improved heat management system, and their 5 yr warranty is definitely better than average. However, most LED bulbs specify that they cannot be used in an enclosed light fixture because the heat has nowhere to go once it is dissipated away from the bulb. If operated in an enclosed light fixture for longer periods of time, these bulbs may not be much different than a regular LED bulb in terms of lifespan. I haven't seen the packaging to see if they have a warning/disclaimer about enclosures.

Are you just paying for the small form factor? Otherwise these standard bulb shaped/sized 60W UL listed bulbs are $6.95 for a 4-pack every day: https://www.amazon.com/Great-Eagl...B07QKR18FB
