Put the exhaust on the window and roll it up. Seriously, this is mostly for sleeping in the car, in a spot that you are not worries about other people.

I think I was told this only works with a battery? It can't run off 12v?

You'll need another 1000kWh battery to run it overnight which is going to cost another $700. If you have access to an AC outlet then you better off buying a cheap Portable AC and pipe it to your tent or car.

Q3: With only solar/car charging input, can WAVE 2 operate for cooling or heating?
A: Due to insufficient car charging power and unstable solar panel power, only Fan mode is available when they are used as the sole power supply.

I think you mean 1KW which only cost $300 as I purchased from Ecoflow ebay last time.
Wave 2 average uses about 200-300W so 12v may not work without putting a battery in between.

You'll need a battery with an energy capacity of at least 1000 Wh to run it overnight. 1 kW is just a measure of the power it requires to start up. If it averages 200-300 Watts while running, you'll need to multiply it by the number of hours you are running it (8 hours, e.g.) to find the energy used (8*200 or 300=1.6-2.4 kWh. The compressor-style A/C units will need a higher Wattage during start-up than their continuous run 200/300W average.

Thanks. I am ordering 4x 100ah 12v batteries to go in my converted trailer/camper running a 3000w inverter, just looking at different options. I'm actually looking at Alibaba, there are a few 12v/120v options around $100-150 that say you can order 1 sample for that price and the shipping is $50-70.

I'm converting a small military trailer, approx 85x90ish and adding foam panels for insulation, it shouldn't take too much.

Keep us updated on how the Ali Baba A/C units work out. Are they portable, similar to this deal, or are they like the mini-split versions. What are the max Wattage start-up requirements of those units and what do they average during usage. Thanks.

EDIT: Also, are you ordering your 100Ah batteries from AliBaba and wiring them up yourself a nddo they come with their own battery management system.

Alibaba wont do that and you need to have your own freight and business name balaba. Totally messed.

Paid near 1000 with the add on battery just over 1.5 months ago so this is pretty nice. I'm sure it can go lower.

No, I've had to limit my spending, my dog has tumors and have to pay for surgeries and an oncologist.
