If you've got an extra $70 to spare then the iPad Air M1 is a no brainer over this. It's better in every way. This iPad is still overpriced. Should be $250 max.

I already have the iPad 9 at apple edu you could trade that in and get the iPad 10 for $165 can anyone tell me if they think it's worth the upgrade. Im starting a new medical program at school in the fall and use my iPad now mostly for textbooks, taking notes and FaceTime with family

assuming you don't have a pen already.

faster cpu

better camera position (it matters to some people).

I would upgrade but is it worth $165 to you. If you have a keyboard right now, you may need to get a new one depending on if you want to apple keyboard folio but that's another $225.



Is it going to be a huge change from Ipad 9 to iPad 10? No

Possibly because of the M1. While most people probably won't notice a difference in performance, you might get an extra year or two of support over an A-Series chip.

Yep, aside from M1 and 8GB RAM, the laminated display is worth it. Plus the Air supports most of the Stage Manager features for multitasking, which I'm really liking on my M1 11" Pro.
