I didn't mean to imply they only make simple budget displays, only that this specific model is a very simple budget display. I'm well aware they make some highly rated TVs for great value, I mean I currently own a TCL 55R265 and will be handing it off to my brother when I buy a Q7 soon.

All good. I just see a lot of fud thrown out against TCL and there's a lot of amazing stuff they're doing at the electronic events showcasing their tech.

Yes, this TV is a budget set but for instance I bought the 55s20 from Walmart for $150 a few years back and looks great in my office and still going strong.

I've had this for less than a year. Decent for the price but my OS gets weird at times and I've had to do a reset a few times to get my PS5 HDMI to recognize, which then clears cache on streaming apps so I stopped using it(Google TV) and just use the PS5.

There's a lot of YouTube videos about this, but you need a deep, deep desk and they are just ok. Good for the money and mine is 4yo but possible to set up as decent color accurate monitor with milky blacks.

I love tcl. Have 6. Not to keen on google tv as I like the roku can be used on all. Good price. They have high end ones you can pick up for cheap if you do the Best Buy return deal. Picked up a word 65 for 500 three years ago
