The 83" inch is the one that didn't have the latest tech the rest of the c3 line had right?

77 c3 really seems to be the best bet. My question is…

When are we going to see good clearance prices from retailers for that?

Seriously, these retailers are holding the C3 77 hostage. Best Buy has had it at the same price for months. Really wish I'd had jumped on the Amazon deal a while back for 1800

I've been waiting to but jumped on the 86" qned90t deal last week.

I think the retailers are realizing a lot of people will wait for good deals on these tvs and it means they end up stuck with a lot of tvs when the new models are being released.

Logic would say they have to eventually drop the price but they seem stubborn.

All sizes of the C3 are WOLED panels. It's the Samsung S90C series that has different tech; the 83" is WOLED, while the 55", 65", and 77" are QD-OLED (newer tech).

Believe they're talking about the G3 having MLA for all sizes except the 83.

Actually having been in the market for a new TV recently I learned that it is not the retailers setting these prices. It is in fact the producers of the TVs -

"Several TV manufacturers - including Samsung, Sony, Sharp, and LG - have a Unilateral Pricing Policy. This means they set the prices that their TVs are sold at in every store. Typically, this means every store selling a given TV model will be selling it for the same price as all the other stores."

You're thinking of the LG G3. The smaller sizes 55"-77" has MLA Technology while the 83" uses the same panel as the LG C3, S90C 83", A80L 83: LG rectified that this year with the LG G4 as the 55"-83" variants have MLA Technology. The 97" model doesn't.

I bought mine a month ago during the previous Samsung sales event, and it was <$2400 with various discounts including TV trade in credit; employer discounts, 10% Samsung discount, 5% referral discount, and CB offer. My wife and I absolutely love it. We upgraded from our LG C1 77", and we couldn't be happier.

I know the G3's has MLA in the 77" but not the 83", not sure on the C3 though.

If you are referring to the sought after MLA tech - G3 up to 77" includes MLA. *Some* other brands *top tier* models (up to 77") also use LG panels with MLA (under different name for the technology).

The G3 83" does NOT include MLA. It has the same WOLED panel as the C3 83".

*NO* 83+ inch panels included MLA until this years 83" G4 series.

97" G4 - No MLA.

MLA is pretty awesome but you pay a very high premium for it at the largest sizes. (LG commands a premium given this is top tier consumer tech and they tend to keep the largest panel size with MLA for their own brand.)

I picked up two 83" C2's at BB outlet on clearance for 2150ish as mentioned above. Now that the C2 has the updated menu system like the C3, very little difference between the C2 and C3.

At 2150 for an 83" C2 vs 4100 for a G4 83" - I'd pick up another (no longer available) C2 and wait for prices to come down on MLA tech at this size.

At 3000 for 83" C3 - Unless you are in a bind, I'd wait for prices to come down to ~2400 ish.
