I thought at the price, it was bound to be better at vacuuming than our existing Eufy that normally retails at $99, but I was wrong. It was somehow worse, to the point of my wife putting both in action at the same time to prove to me that I wasted money. I think she used coffee grounds, and the plain old $99 one did a much better job.
Also, our existing one seems to have a mind of its own. Sometimes it will take off and do the living room first. Sometimes it starts it's morning in my bedroom. No idea what causes this, but it's kind of nice in a weird way.
This SD unit does not do that. It runs an entire perimeter of your house before it focuses on one room. Not a fan of this at all. Sometimes I just want my living room and kitchen done. This didn't seem possible with this unit- but, I only messed around with the settings for about an hour or two, so who knows.
Overall, not a great experience for me- but a good life lesson that more expensive doesn't always mean better.

I haven't had issues with it getting caught due to height (feel it's the same with all robovacs), and the lidar is awesome. In terms of efficiency I don't see the issue as it'll do the job and it'll complete in a reasonable amount of time.
Cleaning the dust bin isn't bad as I just give it a quick wash.
My only complaint would be I do have to make sure the room is clear before running. It does not handle things like tulip pedestals and very specific types of trim as it could get caught, but I just make sure I place barriers or move them.
As far as suction, if this is anything like the LR20 I'll be happy. It really leaves my floors completely spotless and I've struggled to find any debris after a clean.
.
But these also go for $100 on sale vs $300-$400 for the lidar vacuum-only ones.
If you can just block off the exits with something it'll bump into, though, that'll be sort-of a hack.

Interesting. My LR20 stores maps via the eufy clean app. Are you saying the L35 doesn't do the same despite also having lidar?
Disregard my post.

It sounds like you made a bad choice with vacuuming
