I think I am gonna bite on this one. It seems almost trendy to bash on JetBoil these days, but I have had the Flash for years, and I love it. The pot capture (and a lid that snaps on) are unique benefits. Add in the cozy, the piezo ignition, and all-in-one storage, makes the JetBoil better than anything else I've used.

The new MSR Windburner is supposedly "better" (regulated, better wind performance) but loses the piezo ignition (hardly necessary, but still a nice convenience), and comes at a ludicrous price premium. Further, I like to enjoy my backpacking, so I try to hike in places that are pleasant. I still see plenty of wind, but I've simply *never* had the JetBoil fail to perform adequately. So to be blunt, the MSR buys me nothing.

But... The Flash is not quite perfect. The one thing I would change is the ability to fit a full-size (~220g) fuel can. Also, I only backpack with 2-4 folks, so I sometimes want something a bit larger than even 1L. The Sumo solves both those issues, and adds in a regulated stove to boot! And the whole contraption weighs just a couple ounces more (and still just a pound)? Sounds like a winner to me!
