Anything over 1500 is perfectly fine for a low light environment

I've had it for a few months. bought it at $1200. ah well.

the projector itself is pretty good. picture quality is good. response time is pretty good as well and will be almost as good as the more expensive 'gaming' projectors. it's plenty bright enough, although i am using it in a darkened room so YMMV. the speakers are perfectly fine.

The only complaint I have is the android dongle; it feels slow. but that's easily remedied since it has 2 hdmi ports.

For $800, i don't know if there's a better projector.

Was considering this or buying a refurb from BenQ - HT2060

That one looks solid too. The GP500 seems to support higher resolution.
Can't go wrong with BenQ. All their projectors seem to have solid color range (i've used their monitors before, and that seems to be the case there as well)
