But all your hand grease and oil would make your old one even more shinier.

At $80 from best buy, after recycling any old piece of junk accessory you have lying around, this mouse is a pretty good deal. It's important to note that this is the old version of the pro x superlight, meaning it has a micro usb port rather than usb-c, and it has mechanical switches rather than optical switches. That means it is at risk of developing the infamous double click issue, though it appears to be less prevalent with this model compared to older logitech mice.
Overall, this is an extremely well regarded mouse, and most reviewers consistently rate it as one of the best options for fps gaming. It's been on sale at ~$80 a couple of times already, including even before the new version the pro x superlight 2 came out. The newer version is a moderate upgrade, but this version is still an excellent mouse assuming you get it at a good price. As it has relatively few buttons this mouse is most suited for fps gaming, individuals who play mmo or other games where a large number of mouse buttons are beneficial should look elsewhere. There have been some reports of scroll wheel issues with this mouse, though I've also seen reviews describing easy mods to solve those issues should they arise. At $100 I'd say this mouse is just an ok value, especially considering the pro x superlight 2 goes on sale for ~$137. If you get the best buy 20% off coupon, this mouse at $80 is probably currently one of the best value mid to high end options for fps gaming. It's worth noting that this mouse occasionally goes on sale for $60 refurbished, so if you're willing to purchase refurbished this deal isn't as compelling. This mouse has been $80 several times in the past, so if you're willing to wait it may eventually drop further, but this is still a decent deal.
I don't think it's the oil and grease he is complaining about. The old one is just too sticky now.

If you want a basic solid gaming mouse the (wired) G203 still goes on sale for $15-$20 every now and then
