If you're using TorGuard VPN, the Mumbai server will not work (apparently Microsoft knows their IP addresses). You'll get the "purchased in a different region from your account" error. However, the Bangalore server works perfectly.
Some other VPNs may also have the same issue. The "purchased in a different region from your account" error typically means you should try connecting to a different city in India or try using a different VPN. It does not mean that you should change your XBox account's region from the US to India, this is never required.

Forth to Seven gave me this error message:
This code can't be redeemed. It was purchased in a different region from your account.
So first:
Will they honor a refund? There is a button before you click redeem that says: Refund. After clicking Redeem there is a button that says report an issue.
I don't know what happened. My connection to India is up and running. If I check my IP address it says India.
Any thoughts?

I have to be logged into my account correct? It says just above the redeem box (United States) the VPN is still connected to India. So How does it know that the code is From India and I'm in USA? Again three out of 8 Codes worked flawlessly. Then All of the sudden I get the This code can't be redeemed. It was purchased in a different region from your account.
Did MS catch out to this? I have done this trick before without issue.

Though I'm trying to determine whether I got all 8 - 6 month (India) converted. The second one I tried stated something to the effect - had already been used. I think out of 8 something weird happened for 2 of them.

Still sucks for the conversion farkery. But still cheaper than $14.99 month for GP. I got 21ish months for $90.72. Xbox GP would have ben $323 for same months.

I have ultimate already which expires on 6/1/24 and I just paid $11.80 and now it expires on 8/23/24. So, that comes out to be $4.30 a month and about $3 dollars for the 23 days is August.
